Terms and Conditions
Payment:
Unless prior arrangements have been made, rental terms are cash,
certified check or personal checks upon approval. Farm Plan, NH
Credit Card, MasterCard, VISA, Discover or American Express are
also accepted. Rental money must be paid upon receipt of the
rental unit, for the full term of the rental period (up to one
month). Payments for rentals of more than one month would be due
at the start of each successive monthly period. Checks should be
made payable to Capital Tractor, Inc.
Definition of Rental Period:
One Day = 24 hour period or 8 hours of use (whichever comes
first)
Two days = 48 hour period or 16 hours of use (whichever comes
first)
One week = Seven Days or 40 hours of use (whichever comes first)
One month = Thirty Days or 160 hours of use (whichever comes
first)
Please note that we do not rent for less than the one day rate.
Weather: Rental rates shall apply for the entire time the
equipment is away from Capital Tractor, Inc. regardless of the
weather.
Equipment Breakdowns: When a breakdown of rented
equipment occurs, Capital Tractor will make every effort to
expedite repair on the job site if possible. If a job site
repair is not practical, we will supply another rental unit, if
possible. If the repair is needed because the machine was
misused, you will be responsible for paying for the repair. If
the repair is needed because of normal wear and tear, we will
pay for the repair.
Cleaning Equipment: Normally, there will not be a charge
for washing the equipment after a rental. However, if equipment
is returned excessively dirty, muddy or with chemical damage to
the paint, you will be charged for restoring the equipment to
look as it did before the rental.
Transportation of Equipment: Transportation of equipment
is not included in the rental rates. If you cannot provide
transportation for the equipment, we can deliver and pick up -
our current rates are based on $85 per hour for roll-back, $90
per hour for tractor trailer and $100 per hour for oversize unit
plus the cost of permit. Prices subject to change at all times,
without notice
Cancellation of Reservation: Rental equipment which is
scheduled to be transported by us will be delivered, regardless
of weather or other conditions, unless we are notified prior to
delivery time. On rentals scheduled for morning delivery, we
must be notified by 7:30am. It we are not notified prior to the
time our driver leaves, you will be charged for transportation.
Daily Services: The customer is responsible for daily
service of the equipment when rented for longer than one day.
This includes, but is not limited to greasing, checking fluid
levels, checking the air filter (where appropriate) and any
other minor attention you might reasonably expect if the machine
belonged to you. On long-term rentals, the customer is
responsible for calling Capital Tractor after every 100 hours of
use. We will then be responsible for engine oil changes and
similar maintenance.
Rental Purchases: If you decide that you might like to
own the equipment you are renting, we can often accommodate you.
Generally, we will apply a percentage of the rental money paid
in toward the purchase. This is an especially good way to
evaluate the condition of a used piece of equipment before you
commit to a purchase. However, we reserve the right not to sell
a rental unit, so check for availability and purchase price if
you intend to rent to purchase.
Availability: Not all models of equipment listed in this
brochue are available at all times. Availability is contingent
upon prior commitments or prior sale. Please call us for
assistance in determining which machine is best suited for your
job.
Insurance & Liability: The customer is responsible for
the welfare of the equipment at all times. Lessee must insure
equipment against theft, vandalism, physical damage and injury.
The customer is also responsible as per the general conditions
of the rental contract. Capital Tractor, Inc. will require proof
of insurance. If you do not have contractor's insurance and your
homeowners will not cover the rental equipment, insurance may be
purchased through Capital Tractor for a fee.
Rental Rates: The rental rates listed in this brochure
are subject to change at all times, without notice.
Fuel: Each machine comes with a full tank of fuel. The
customer is responsible for refueling during the rental and for
returning the rental unit with a full tank of fuel. If machine
is returned with less than a full tank of fuel, customer will be
charged. |
